Professional Experience
Russ has been involved with the Arizona criminal justice system since 1992. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science magna cum laude in Justice Studies with a minor in Business from Arizona State University in 1996. In 1999, Russ graduated with a juris doctorate from Arizona State University College of Law.
Since law school Russ has been a practicing Arizona criminal defense attorney and is committed to protecting the rights of individuals accused of crimes in Arizona. He has written a number of articles and has taught Continuing Legal Education classes to other attorneys.
Russ was also formerly known as Sergeant Richelsoph when he was in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He served with Bulk Fuel Company D, 6th Engineering Support Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group from 1991 to 1997. Prior to his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Russ was the Nuclear Biological Chemical Warfare Training Non-Commissioned Officer for a reinforced company of Marines.

Russ enjoys being a husband and the father of three very beautiful and devilishly intelligent daughters. He also enjoys shooting, reading, and traveling.
