Davis Miles McGuire Gardner, the largest law firm in the Phoenix East Valley, recently launched its women lawyers initiative, with an objective of creating an intentional effort and framework to help the firm continue and accelerate recruitment and preparation of women lawyers for leadership/partnership, elevate their profiles within the legal profession and community and increase their success in business development.
Each month the firm’s women lawyers will meet to discuss and encourage understanding of the challenges facing women in the law and intentionally seek to address those challenges as a firm. The difficulty in retaining and recruiting women lawyers is a challenge widespread in the industry and the firm seeks to build on its successful recruitment practices that have added many women lawyers to its ranks. The new new initiative seeks to encourage comradeship and understanding, and lay out career/partnership track opportunities and provide support tools for women lawyers.
