Kyle brings his 30-year reputation for excellence and expertise in family law to Davis Miles McGuire Gardner. He is particularly adept at helping family law clients plot a strategy for going forward, and then integrating with our family law team to help optimize that strategy.

J. Kyle Scoresby is a native of Mesa, Arizona. After graduating from Mesa’s Westwood High School in 1982 and serving a church mission in Santiago, Chile from 1983-1985, Mr. Scoresby attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he majored in Psychology. He was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in August 1986.

Mr. Scoresby attended law school at Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he graduated fourth in his class of approximately 150 students. Mr. Scoresby was a member of the Brigham Young University Law Review for two years, serving as Lead Note and Comment Editor during his third and final year of law school. Mr. Scoresby was inducted into The Order of the Coif and graduated magna cum laude in April, 1989.

After law school, Mr. Scoresby moved to San Diego, California, and joined the San Diego branch office of the international law firm Gibson, Dunn, and Crutcher. Mr. Scoresby was admitted to the California Bar in December 1989, and to the Arizona Bar in May 1990. Mr. Scoresby is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts in the Southern District of California and in the Arizona District. Mr. Scoresby was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in May 1994.

Mr. Scoresby and his family moved back to Arizona in late 1990, and Mr. Scoresby began practicing family law in Arizona in 1992.

Mr. Scoresby has been practicing law for over 30 years and now limits his practice to family law cases of all types.
