At Origami Owl our mission is to be a force for good. To love, motivate and inspire women of all ages to reach their dreams and empower them to make a difference in the lives of others.
I am Chrissy Weems and I am the co-founder of Origami Owl, custom jeweler. My daughter and I started the business when she was 14 years old. She wanted to earn enough money to purchase a car for herself when she was 16 only after she was told we weren’t going to buy her one.
For her 16th birthday she bought herself a white Jeep Wrangler. Just what she wanted.
We’ve been in business for over three years now and have grown substantially over the years and are privileged to be able to sell to women all around the country. We have representatives, what we call independent designers throughout all 50 states.
I truly believe that Origami Owl will be one of the top ten companies in the world. Not necessarily for growth sales volume, but we are a company that strives to be a force for good and to make a difference in the lives of others.
One of the things that I think is pretty amazing about our company is that we have over 300 employees now. We had 18 a year ago. Because of our mission, because of our intention as a company, we have an incredible culture. We have an environment that is very exciting, very loving and very accepting. When we bring on an employee we really believe that whatever good they have, if they bring it with them, whether they are with us for a month or years, we want to see if we can make them a little bit better.
In everything we do, we try to take a holistic approach. Mind, body and spirit. How we can emotionally support our independent designers. How we can physically support them. How we can make them feel successful. We have developed training and tools to help women be successful in their business. Whether it be a breast cancer walk, or someone who has an immediate need. We connect with different organizations that work to help others.
Origami Owl is a modern American Dream. Starting with $300.00 and a young teen-agers determination this family has built an amazing company. Today we are ranked number 3 amongst direct sales companies in the United States. That is something we are really proud of.
