Davis Miles McGuuire Gardner, PLLC is happy to announce that beginning April 2, 2012, Mr. Todd Farkas will be joining the firm in the New Mexico office as a traditional practice attorney.   He will be accepting referrals both from Legal Shield members and from other members of the community in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, domestic relations, and civil litigation.

Mr. Farkas has over thirty years of experience in litigation.  He began his legal career with a clerkship for a New Mexico Supreme Court Justice.  Since then, he has tried dozens of cases before juries in the State and Federal District Courts.   His practice has covered, in addition to the areas mentioned above, worker’s compensation, civil rights, products liability, social security, insurance defense and securities fraud.  He is a member of the Criminal Justice Act panel in Federal court and defends clients on Federal as well as State criminal charges.  He is an active member of the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association.

A resident of New Mexico for over 30 years, Mr. Farkas graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and obtained his law degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord New Hampshire.

Mr. Farkas sees the art of practicing criminal defense as ensuring that his client receives justice and due process by a thorough and zealous testing of the prosecution’s case, and believes that the integrity of criminal proceedings requires that all evidence be competently tested. Due process requires no less.  He routinely represents individuals accused of drug offenses, gun crimes, DWI, domestic violence, violent offenses, and probation matters.  He has represented individuals in complex, multi-defendant drug distribution conspiracy cases, many facing minimum mandatory sentences in federal penal institutions.  He also has years of experience defending drivers accused of DWI/DUI.

Whether you or your loved one is charged with a felony or a misdemeanor, in state or federal court, call Davis Miles McGuire Gardner right away. Bad things really do happen to good people, and having the right lawyer makes a world of difference.
