Professional Experience
Prior to joining Davis Miles McGuire Gardner, PLLC, Luke worked in construction for 15 years, 3 of which he owned his own business remodeling homes. Deciding to go back to college at the tender age of 30, he attended ASU in the mechanical engineering department specifically to become a patent attorney.
Luke graduated from Syracuse University College of Law where he was the president of the J. Ruben Clark Law Society and the Intellectual Property Law Society. He also was heavily involved in the Technology Commercialization Law program which focused on helping businesses maximize the revenue they can generate from their technology through obtaining Intellectual Property rights and utilizing those rights effectively. Before and after graduation, he worked for several IP firms, both in New York and in Arizona. He moved his family back to Arizona (grateful to see the sun again) shortly after graduation.
After being back in Arizona for a couple of years, Luke then decided to switch gears and went to work with a more traditional law firm, working as a hybrid Family Law attorney and a Criminal Defense attorney, where he gained not only a significant amount of trial experience, but insight into the intermingling of those two areas of law.
Personal
When not busy assisting clients, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife and four children at home and in the White Mountains of Arizona, where he grew up. He also continues to do some home remodeling and other carpentry work now and then.
