Jesi practices in the areas of real estate transactions, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, professional liability, arbitration/mediation, and probate.
Bringing more than 21 years of experience as a licensed real estate broker to her practice, Jesi handles a variety of professional liability issues for real estate professionals. She frequently serves as outside general counsel for brokerages needing legal advice and representation, but who do not require on-staff attorney. Jesi also assists brokers during audits or investigations by the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
Jesi has experience with title insurance claims from various title companies across the state, as well as extensive experience resolving real property disputes, deed issues, easement and access disputes, boundary issues, and quiet title disputes. Jesi additionally advises and represents clients in agreements for sale, foreclosure / deficiency actions, tax lien foreclosures, partitions, and breach of contract claims. Essentially, if there is an issue that touches real estate, Jesi has experience in resolving the matter.
Jesi teaches courses to real estate brokers and agents throughout the state for the Arizona Association of REALTORS®. She previously served as one of the attorneys for the Arizona Association of REALTORS® legal hotline. Jesi also served as a Subject-Matter-Expert for the Arizona Department of Real Estate in creating the state license exam for real estate brokers. In 2020, Jesi also served as a subject matter expert for the Arizona Department of Real Estate to help craft the new real estate brokerage exam for the state of Arizona.
Jesi received her Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She graduated with Pro Bono Distinction for her work providing legal services to various organizations, including the Probate Lawyers Assistance Project, the Arizona Justice Project, and Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance.
While in law school, Jesi interned with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in the Fraud and Special Prosecutions Division working on mortgage fraud cases, as well as the Scottsdale City Attorney’s Office working on eminent domain matters.
Prior to law school, Jesi managed a successful real estate brokerage and was a multi-million dollar producer receiving awards for top sales. In addition, Jesi served for many years as the Grievance Committee co-chair for the Southeast Valley Regional Association of REALTORS® (now WeServ®), as well as serving on the professional standards committee.
Jesi loves being outdoors, especially up north where the sky is blue, the grass is green, and there are trees for miles. She is a certified plant fanatic and loves making anything grow.
