Mr. Moffitt’s practice focuses on structuring business and real estate transactions. Mr. Moffitt has experience assisting clients with merger and acquisition transactions, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, and the formation of business entities.
Prior to going to law school, Mr. Moffitt worked as a certified public accountant at a public accounting firm. As a CPA, Mr. Moffitt regularly consulted for corporations, partnerships, non-profit organizations and high net worth individuals to ensure tax compliance and to identify, research, and implement tax planning strategies. Mr. Moffitt brings his unique perspective as a CPA to the practice of law and assists clients with various tax matters.
Mr. Moffitt graduated cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. While in law school, Mr. Moffitt was recognized as a Pedrick Scholar, was the recipient of CALI Excellence for the Future Awards (an award given to the student with the highest grade in a class) in Federal Income Taxation, Corporate Taxation, and Estate and Gift Taxation, and was the recipient of the State Bar of Arizona Tax Law Section Scholarship. Additionally, Mr. Moffitt worked as a research assistant for a tax professor, worked as an articles editor for the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, and served as the Treasurer for the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
In his free time, Mr. Moffitt enjoys spending time with his family, watching and playing sports, and spending time outdoors.
