Proper business planning often coincides with estate planning. Mr. Mueller says, “You are working hard, playing by the rules, and taking care of your loved ones; do not leave all that you have built to chance. Put a plan together.” Mr. Mueller stresses asset protection and succession planning. “If you have a large estate, you need an estate plan. If you have a small estate, you need an estate plan. Beyond ‘death and taxes,’ we also need to be concerned with incapacity. If you are incapacitated, who will make financial and health care decisions for you? If you have children, who will care for them and how will they do it?
